Hindoostan Mills Ltd.

We are located in Sir Vithaldas Chambers at 16 Mumbai Samachar Marg in the Fort area. Hindoostan Mills Ltd. has been around this part of Mumbai for quite a while. If you know Fort, you know it’s full of old buildings and narrow streets packed with people and cars. Our office in the chambers is a bit of a throwback to how things used to be. It’s not one of those modern glass towers you see in the newer parts of the city. We have high ceilings and old windows that let in the sounds of the street below. The traffic on Mumbai Samachar Marg is constant, and you can always hear the horns and the general hum of the city. We spend our days dealing with the business of the mills. It involves a lot of back and forth, paperwork, and meetings that seem to go on forever. The building itself has a lot of history, and you can feel it when you walk through the hallways. We don't have any of those fancy slogans or a polished image. We are just a bunch of people working in the textile industry, trying to keep things moving in a very competitive environment. It’s a lot of desk work and phone calls. Being in Fort means everything is close by, but it also means dealing with the chaos of the city every single day. We just get on with it because that is how things are done here.
