Our office is in the Maskai Building on Bhandari Street, number 23/2 to be exact. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with all the handcarts and people moving goods back and forth. We are at 106 Bhandari Street, and it is a typical old-style building where every inch of space is used for something. Our desks are usually piled high with papers, shipping documents, and fabric samples. There is a lot of shouting back and forth across the room because the fans are loud and we are always trying to coordinate something on the phone with the transporters. It is not the kind of place you come to for a fancy meeting. We usually just offer people a plastic chair and some water while we dig through the stacks to find what they need. The stairs are narrow, and we have to be very careful when moving heavy crates so we don't hit the walls or trip. Most of our day is spent tracking where things are and making sure the suppliers haven't forgotten anything important. It gets quite dusty because of the open windows, but that’s just life on Bhandari Street. We’ve been operating out of this same building for quite a while now. It’s cramped and a bit messy, but we know exactly where every single item is located in the mess. It works for us.
