Foil Packs

Foil Packs is based out of unit 20 in the Gourav Industrial Estate, which sits inside the Bhart Coal Compound over in Kurla. If you know the Kamani area, you know it’s pretty industrial and always humming with activity. We work with foil and packaging materials all day long. The machines make a specific kind of crinkling sound that fills up the room. It’s not a large space, so we have to be careful about how we stack the rolls of material. If things aren't organized, it’s easy to run out of walking room. We spend a lot of time checking the seals and making sure the foil is cut to the right size. It’s steady work, and there’s always something that needs packing. The industrial estate is a bit of a maze, and finding our unit for the first time can be tricky if you don't know the landmarks. We share the compound with all sorts of other businesses, so there’s always someone hauling something past our door. Lunch is usually just something quick from one of the local vendors nearby. It's a gritty kind of place, but it's where we've set up shop and it works for what we do. We don’t go in for big meetings or long speeches. We just get the foil packed and ready to go out to whoever needs it. That’s basically our whole day from start to finish.
