Fibrebond Industries

Down at 69 P.D Mello Road, the traffic is never really quiet. We are up on the third floor, in 312 of the Navratan Building. It’s one of those older buildings with a lot of character and an elevator that you sometimes have to wait a while for. Fibrebond Industries has been operating out of this space for quite some time. The walls are thick, but you can still hear the ships and the trucks near Carnac Bunder. It’s a busy part of the city. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with samples and rolls of stuff. We’ve got a couple of big tables for cutting and measuring. The windows are large but they get pretty grimy from the harbor air, so the light coming in is always a bit soft. We don't spend money on fancy things; we’d rather have tools that don't break. There’s a small corner where we keep the tiffin boxes during lunch. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is out, but we’re used to it. We deal with a lot of different people coming through for orders. It’s a straightforward business. We do the work, talk to the suppliers, and try to keep the dust off the finished goods. It’s just how things go at Navratan. We keep our heads down and get the daily tasks sorted out as best as we can.
