Fakhri Exports

Fakhri Exports is situated at 38, Commercial Chambers on Yusuf Meherali Road. Being in Masjid Bunder-West means we are right in the middle of all the action. The traffic on Yusuf Meherali Road is legendary, and sometimes it takes an hour just to move a few blocks. Our office in the Commercial Chambers is up a flight of stairs that have been worn down by thousands of feet over the years. It is a busy building with a lot of different businesses all crammed together. Our space is filled with samples and boxes, and there is barely enough room for the four of us to sit comfortably. We have an old ceiling fan that squeaks every time it turns, but it's better than nothing. Most of our work involves a lot of paperwork and making sure things are ready for shipping. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we have, they usually just have to dig through the boxes with us. We know the local porters and the truck drivers by name, and we spend a lot of time shouting out the window to get someone’s attention on the street below. It’s a chaotic way to work, but it’s the only way things happen in this part of town. We just try to stay organized enough so that nothing gets lost in the shuffle of the daily market grind.
