We've been at Chaman House Society for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot right on the Si Sion Dabhoi Main Road, so there is always noise from the traffic outside. Our space covers units 3, 4, and 5, which sounds bigger than it actually feels when things are stacked up. Most days start early with someone sweeping the front step before the sun gets too hot. People stop by on their way to work or while they are out running errands in the neighborhood. We mostly just keep things moving and make sure the shelves aren't empty. It’s not fancy here. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we usually forget about that once the morning rush starts. Sometimes the neighbors from the other flats in the society come down just to chat for a bit. It’s one of those places where you know the delivery drivers by their first names. We have a couple of ceiling fans that work pretty well, though they get a bit dusty after a few weeks. Usually, someone is sitting near the entrance keeping an eye on the road. The street gets crowded in the evenings, especially when the school buses pass by. We just try to get through the list of things to do before closing up for the night. It's a simple operation, nothing more to it than that. If you’re looking for us, look for the sign near the main gate. It's faded but readable.
