Exind Trading (P) Ltd. is right across from Hotel Sahil in Mumbai Central. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets around here. Our office is in a spot where there is always something happening outside. We spend most of our time on the phones or dealing with people coming in and out for trades. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes because the office is not that big. We have files stacked up in corners because we have not found a better place for them yet. Being near the station means there is always a rush. We do not really do the corporate thing here. It is mostly just us in our shirtsleeves trying to make sense of the market that day. Sometimes we grab food from the stalls nearby because it is quick. The building is old and the lift is a bit moody, so we often take the stairs. We have been here for years and know all the shopkeepers on the street. It is a lively place to work. We are not fancy and we do not pretend to be. We just handle the trading as it comes and try to stay ahead of the paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the noise from the street, but that is just part of being in Mumbai Central.
