Exclusive Creation

We are located in Kalbadevi, at shop number 16 on the ground floor. If you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many people are always rushing around. It is a very busy place to have a shop. We call ourselves Exclusive Creation, and we spend our days making things right here in the back of the store. The shop is not very large, so we have to be careful not to trip over the materials we have delivered every week. There is always the sound of carts being pushed outside and people shouting, but we have gotten used to the noise over the years. We do not have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It is just us, our tools, and the stuff we are working on at the moment. Most of our customers are locals or people who have been coming to this market for years. We do not do much advertising; we just leave the door open and wait for people to walk in. Sometimes we sit out front on a stool and chat with the other shopkeepers when things are slow. It is a simple way to run a business. We try to make things that look good and last, without charging people a fortune. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, especially during the festival seasons, but we like being here in the heart of the city.
