Excel Wear

You can find Excel Wear over at No. 412 in the Kewal Industrial Estate. Lower Parel is a place that has changed a lot, but this industrial estate still feels like the old heart of the area. We’ve been working out of this unit for a while. It’s a bit of a climb or a wait for the lift sometimes, but once you’re inside, it’s all about the work. Fabrics and clothes are what we handle mostly. The space is often filled with rolls of cloth and the sound of sewing machines or people packing things up. It’s not a showroom; it’s where the actual work happens. The lighting isn't always perfect, and it can get a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have our fans going. We are just a group of people trying to make a living in the city. Most of the staff has been with us for years, so we’re more like a small family than a corporation. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just try to get the orders right and out the door on time. Getting things in and out of the estate can be a bit of a challenge with the narrow lanes and trucks in Lower Parel, but we manage. It’s a busy life, but it’s ours. We just focus on being consistent and showing up every day to do the job. We don't need much else to stay satisfied.
