We are located at 20 on the ground floor of the Prabhadevi Industrial Estate. It is right there on Veer Savarkar Marg, which as anyone around here knows, is a very busy stretch of road. Being on the ground floor makes things a bit easier for moving stuff in and out, but it also means we hear everything that goes on in the estate. Most days start with the sound of shutters going up all along the row. Elcom International Pvt.Ltd. has been tucked into this corner for a while. The building itself has that old industrial feel to it, with thick walls and a lot of history. You see a lot of the same faces every morning at the gate or near the tea stall. It’s not like those new office parks where everything is shiny and silent. Here, there is a lot of movement and the occasional truck blocking the driveway while they unload crates. We have our desks set up in the front and the storage and work area in the back. It gets a bit cramped when a big shipment comes in, but we manage to shift things around. The traffic on Veer Savarkar Marg can be a real headache in the evenings, so we usually try to get our paperwork done and wrap up before the worst of it hits. It is a practical place to work and it suits us just fine for now.
