You can find Elan Fashions at No. 322 in the Creative Industrial Estate. This is on N. M. Joshi Marg, right inside the Sitaram Mill Compound. It's an old industrial area with a lot of history. The buildings are sturdy and have been here for decades. Our unit is on the third floor. It’s a busy place with a lot of different small businesses working side by side. We do our cutting and stitching here. The light comes in through the big old windows. Sometimes the stairs are a bit of a climb if the lift is being serviced, but we don't mind it. We've gotten to know the other folks in the compound over time. It’s a community of makers. We keep our heads down and focus on the garments. There’s always a lot of thread on the floor and piles of cloth waiting to be worked on. It’s not a quiet office, it’s a working shop. We deal with the daily issues like any other small business. Sitaram Mill Compound has its own vibe, a bit gritty but very productive. We’ve been here for a while and don't see ourselves moving anywhere else soon. It suits the way we work. Just practical and straightforward. We drink our tea and get the orders out on time. That's the main thing for us. We have some old wooden tables and stools that have been with us since the start. It feels like home to us now after all these years.
