You can find us at 9 United Industrial Estate on Mogul Lane. Our company is Eee & Cee Pressings and we spend our days working with metal and heavy machinery. Mogul Lane is a busy area and the industrial estate is always full of activity. Our unit is basically a large workshop floor where we do a lot of pressing work. It is loud because of the machines hitting the metal, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other over the noise. It’s a very physical job and everyone here knows how to handle the equipment. We don't have a fancy decorated office; it’s mostly just a corner with a desk and some chairs where we keep the blueprints and the daily logs. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We take pride in just getting the work done right without making a big fuss about it. The guys here have been working together for a long time, so we have a good rhythm going. We get shipments of metal in and then we spend the week pressing them into the shapes that are needed. It’s dirty work and our clothes usually have a bit of oil on them by the end of the shift. We just focus on the output and making sure everything is measured correctly before it leaves Mogul Lane.
