Dream Fashions is up here in Gambhir Industrial Estate, room 218. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens some days. Goregaon East is a crowded place, but inside the estate, it's mostly just the sound of machines and people moving boxes. We’ve been set up here for quite some time now. We handle a lot of different clothes and fabrics throughout the week. It’s not a fancy showroom with mannequins in the window. It’s more of a place where the actual work happens behind the scenes. We spend most of our hours checking stitches and making sure things look right before they head out. There’s always rolls of cloth leaning against the walls. Some days it’s quiet, and other days we can barely hear ourselves talk over the noise from the other units. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down for a minute. If you’re looking for us, just follow the signs for block 218. We aren't big on social media or anything, we just stick to what we know. The floor is concrete and we have these big tables for cutting. It’s a practical setup. We know most of the delivery guys by name because they come by so often. Just a normal garment unit doing its thing in Goregaon. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out, and the whole place feels different when it’s dark.
