Dole Foods

Dole Foods is based out of Gonsalaves Cottage, which is No. 3 in the Deulwadi area. We are in Chakala, Andheri East, right near the old cigarette factory. It’s an interesting part of Andheri because it still has some of those old-style cottages mixed in with the big industrial buildings. Working here is different from being in a modern office tower. We are on the ground floor, and it feels more like a home that’s been turned into a workplace. We handle a lot of food-related stuff here. There is always something being moved around, boxes being stacked, or lists being checked. Being near the cigarette factory means most people know the landmark, so it’s not too hard to find us. The atmosphere is pretty casual. We wear regular clothes and don't worry too much about looking like a big corporation. The rooms in the cottage are a bit small, so we have to be organized with where we put everything. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked with trucks, but that’s just life in a commercial zone like Chakala. We spend our days dealing with suppliers and making sure our stock is right. It’s a lot of practical, hands-on work. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the neighbors all know us. It’s just a regular food business running out of an old Andheri cottage. We mostly just focus on getting our orders out on time.
