Goyal Garb

We are set up on the 2nd Floor of Plot No. B/1-3 in the Majithia Industrial Estate, along W. T. Patil Marg. Being in an industrial estate means it’s not exactly a pretty place to visit. There are trucks moving around, and the sound of machinery is pretty much constant. We chose the second floor because it was a bit more affordable, even though moving heavy rolls of fabric up the stairs is a real pain. The lift is old and doesn't always work when you need it to. Our workspace is wide and open, which is good for laying out the patterns. We have several long tables and a row of machines that stay busy most of the day. The windows look out over other factory roofs and some power lines. It’s an honest place where we put in a lot of hours. We aren't wearing suits or sitting in air-conditioned offices. We’re usually covered in lint and drinking lukewarm coffee while we check the stitching on the latest batch of clothes. It’s hard work, and the commute on W. T. Patil Marg can be a nightmare with the traffic, but we get here every morning. We just focus on making the garments and keeping the machines running so we can meet our deadlines. It is a bit messy and loud, but that is how a factory floor should be.
