Demak Exports

Our place, Demak Exports, is situated in Unit No. 1 A/j/k inside the Laxmi Industrial Estate. That is over on New Link Road in Andheri West, Mumbai. It is a busy industrial area, so there is always something going on nearby. We have been operating out of this unit for a good bit of time now. The space is mostly filled with boxes and packing materials because we are always getting things ready to send out. It is not the most glamorous spot in Mumbai, but it is where we get our work done. The corridors in the estate can be a bit narrow and dark, but once you are inside our unit, it is all about the business of exporting. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who know how the system works. Every day involves a lot of paperwork and making sure the labels are right. It is a practical life. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the trucks to arrive or for the paperwork to clear. Andheri West is a good location for us because it is connected to everything, though the traffic on New Link Road is always a struggle. We just take things one day at a time here. We are not trying to be anything we are not. We just run our export business from this unit and hope for a smooth day with no shipping delays. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going.
