Deepak Overseas Private Limited is located at 74-A, Nariman Bhavan, which is right in the heart of Nariman Point. Even though this is a very busy business district in Mumbai, our office feels a bit more old-fashioned once you step inside. We deal with overseas trade, so there is always a lot of talk about shipping schedules and customs documents. The phones ring quite a bit, and there is usually a stack of files on someone’s desk waiting to be sorted. We don't have those modern glass walls or bean bags you see in new offices; we have solid desks and heavy chairs that have been here for a long time. Looking out the window, you can see the hustle of Nariman Point, but we are usually too busy looking at spreadsheets to notice the view. It’s a practical environment where we focus on getting the goods from one place to another without too many headaches. Being at 74-A means we are close to everything, which helps when we have to run out for a quick meeting or grab a bite at one of the stalls nearby. We are a small group of people who have worked together for years, so we don't need to be formal with each other. It’s just about doing the work, making the calls, and making sure the paperwork for the next shipment is ready to go by the end of the day.
