Dealers India

Dealers India is located at No. 26, Mohan Mansion, which is on S.B.S. Road in the Fort area. This building is quite old, like many others in this part of Mumbai. You have to walk up the stairs because the lift is often acting up, and the hallways have that old-building smell of wood and dust. Our office isn't very big, but it’s right where the action is. S.B.S. Road is constantly humming with the sound of taxis and people rushing to catch trains at the station nearby. We spend our days handling different kinds of trade deals, mostly sitting at wooden desks that have been here since we started. There are always stacks of ledgers and documents piled up because we still like to keep physical copies of everything. The windows look out onto the street, but we usually keep them shut to keep the city noise out. It’s a practical space. We drink a lot of coffee from the canteen downstairs and talk to the local delivery boys who know exactly which door is ours. Being in Fort means we are close to everything, which is helpful when we need to run to the bank or meet a supplier. It is not a modern corporate setup with glass walls, just a solid place where we show up every morning and handle whatever work comes our way. The walls are covered with calendars and old notes, and that's just how we like it.
