You can find us at B/9 in Dholak Wala Chawl, which is on Bhavani Shankar Road in Dadar West. We are situated right across from the Jay Gopal Industrial Estate. This part of Dadar is very traditional and has a lot of history in every corner. The chawl where we work is an old building, and our unit is a small, compact space that we have used for a long time. At Darshi Fashion, we do not have much room for fancy furniture or extra things, so every inch is used for storing fabric or setting up our workstations. It is a very lively place to work because the street outside is always full of people shopping or walking to the station. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood and the traffic all day long. We have a few windows that look out onto the street, which is nice for a bit of fresh air when it gets stuffy. Most of us have been working here for years, so we are like a small family. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often chat with them during our breaks for some tea. The work we do is very hands-on and requires a lot of attention to detail. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of materials arriving at once, but we manage to stay organized. It is a very humble setup.
