Joeson Garments

We are located in the Anjali Building, at number 172, right near the Yes Bank in Dadar. If you know Mumbai, you know Dadar is a place that is always moving and never sleeps. There is never a quiet moment outside our windows. We are on the ground floor, which is convenient for moving stock, but the noise of the traffic and the people rushing to the station is something you have to get used to. Joeson Garments is a small setup. We have racks and racks of clothes that we've made, mostly shirts and casual wear for daily use. The space is tight, so we have to be careful not to knock things over when we are moving around. We spend a lot of time ironing the clothes before we put them out because they get bunched up in the storage bags. Our regulars are mostly people who live in the apartments nearby or office workers stopping in during their lunch break to see what's new. We don't have fancy lights or a big showroom feel like the shops in the malls. It’s just a basic shop with some mirrors and a small changing area tucked in the back corner. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front window during the heavy monsoon, so we have to keep an eye on that. We do all our own folding and tagging, and sometimes our family comes in to help when we get a large shipment of new cloth. It’s just a simple local business trying to get by.
