Steel King

Steel King is located at Shop No. 1 in the Haji Ebrahim Patel Trust Building on Ranade Road in Dadar West. Being in Dadar means it’s always crowded and there’s a lot of energy right outside the door. We’ve been in this shop for a long time. It’s not a big space, but we manage to cram a lot of steel goods into it. You have to watch your step when you come in because there are pipes and fittings everywhere. We deal with basic hardware and steel items that people need for building or repairs. Usually, we are busy answering the phone or talking to someone who just walked in from the train station. It’s a noisy area, but that’s just how it is around here. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. If you’re looking for something specific, we probably have it tucked away in a corner somewhere. We don't use much technology here, just a ledger and some old shelves. It’s a very local way of doing things. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three customers show up at once and the delivery guy is trying to unload stuff, but we make it work. It’s just a normal shop in a busy part of the city. We don't put on any acts; we just sell steel and try to stay organized.
