Our place is located in the Ram Sham Co-operative Housing Society. It’s right there on the ground floor in the B Wing. We have Galas 2, 3, and 4, so it’s a decent amount of space for what we do. The location is Dadar West, specifically on Kakasaheb Gadgil Marg. Most people around here just call the lane Garage Gali. It’s a narrow spot and can get pretty jammed with vehicles and pedestrians during the peak hours. Being on the ground floor makes it easy to move stuff in and out without dealing with stairs or an old lift. The society is an older building, so it has that lived-in feel to it. Inside the units, we have everything partitioned off for different tasks. It’s not a showroom with bright lights and fancy carpets. It’s a workspace where we manage our inventory and handle the daily chores of running a business. The air can get a bit stuffy because the buildings are so close together, but we have a couple of big industrial fans that keep the air moving. You’ll see plenty of other small businesses running out of these ground floor units too. It’s a very busy, practical part of Mumbai to be in. We get to work early before the heat really sets in. Usually, we are too busy to notice the noise from the main road.
