Jhora Designer

Jhora Designer is located inside the Jay Gopal Industrial Estate at No. 141. We are right in the Bhavani Sankar area of Dadar West. This is an old industrial estate, so there are many small businesses like ours all under one roof. We focus on designing clothes and sometimes the place looks a bit chaotic with fabric scraps and sketches lying around. It’s not a fancy studio you might see in a magazine. It’s a practical space where we cut, sew, and try out new ideas. We have a few tailors and assistants who help out with the daily workload. Most of our day is spent at the cutting table or checking the embroidery on a garment. Dadar is always busy, and getting here through the traffic is a task in itself. We don't really have a showroom, so most of our work is done on order or for specific clients who know where to find us. The walls are a bit dusty and the light isn't always perfect, but we get the job done. We like the creative part of it, even if the business side is sometimes a bit of a headache. We've been here for a while and the other people in the estate are like neighbors. It is a small team and we just try to make things that people will enjoy wearing.
