Our office is on the second floor of a building in Vittalwadi, right on Kalbadevi Road. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded with people and carts. Climbing the two flights of stairs is our daily exercise. The office itself is full of files and old desks. We do a lot of paperwork here. It can get pretty loud with all the noise from the street coming through the windows. We usually have the windows open to get some air. We’ve been in this part of Kalbadevi for a long time. It’s a historic area but very busy. We mostly just sit and handle whatever documents come in that day. We don’t have a big reception area or anything. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The light in the afternoons is actually quite nice through the front glass. We are just a small group of associates trying to stay organized. Sometimes the piles of paper get a bit tall, but we eventually get through them. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just come in, do the work, and go home when the sun goes down. It’s a steady kind of life here in the middle of the city. We know the chai wallah downstairs by name and he knows us.
