Creative Garments Private Limited is located inside Sun Mill Compound. If you know the area, you probably know the Bank of Maharashtra; we are right above it in the Cama Industrial Estate. It’s an old building, the kind where you can hear the history in the walls. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time now. The workspace is usually a bit cluttered with threads, needles, and stacks of folded shirts or trousers. It’s not the quietest place because the industrial estate is always humming with activity. There’s a specific smell of fabric and machine oil that hits you as soon as you walk in. Most of us have been working together for years. We eat lunch together and complain about the commute or the heat. The stairs up to the office can be a bit of a climb on a hot day. We don't do much in the way of fancy decorations. We have our tables, our machines, and our coffee mugs. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation where we try to get the orders out on time. Sometimes things get delayed or a machine breaks down, but that’s just how it goes in this business. Sun Mill Compound has changed a lot over the years, but we’re still here, doing the same work we've always done. It’s a practical life, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is.
