Dharmin Creation

Dharmin Creation is tucked away in the Laxmi Building Compound. If you know the Maruti Showroom or Voltas House in Chinchpokli East, we are right there beside them. It's an old building but it serves us well for what we do. We work on various creations, mostly fabric and design stuff, and the space is usually filled with scraps of material and thread. It can get pretty messy when we have a big order to finish. We don't have a big front desk or anyone to greet you; you just walk in and find us working. The light in the workshop isn't the best, but we make it work with a few extra lamps. Being in Chinchpokli East means it's always noisy outside with the trains and the traffic, but we've lived with that sound for years. We do a lot of the cutting and sewing ourselves right here on the tables. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend an afternoon fixing them instead of working on the clothes. It's just a small operation. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. People usually hear about us from their friends or by just walking past the showroom next door. We stay busy enough to keep the doors open. It is honest work and we take it one day at a time, making things that people actually use. It’s a bit cramped but we are used to the small space.
