We are based in the Ganga Industrial Estate, specifically at units 29 and 30. It is located on P. L. Lokande Marg in Chembur West. This is an industrial area, so don’t expect any fancy storefronts or glass windows. Our space is basically a large workshop where we handle garment manufacturing. It is a bit loud with all the machines running, and there is always the smell of new fabric in the air. We have been here for a long time, and the building has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We deal with bulk orders mostly. There are about ten of us working here daily. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for making tea in the morning and afternoon. The area outside can get quite muddy when it rains, so we have to be careful when moving the boxes to the trucks. Chembur West is quite a practical place to have a business like this because of the transport links. We don't do any big promotions or anything. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We just focus on the stitching and making sure the sizes are right. It is a lot of repetitive work, but we take it seriously. It is a honest way to earn a living, and we are happy with how things are at Kidma Apparels.
