We are tucked away in the T.K. Industrial Estate, right behind the Sewri Court. It’s a typical industrial area, so there’s always trucks and noise around. Our unit is 10-A. Being in an industrial estate means we have plenty of space for the fashion work we do, but it’s not the most scenic spot. The building is solid and does the job. We spend most of our time dealing with officer wear and garments. It’s a lot of cutting, sewing, and checking labels. Sewri is an interesting part of town. It feels very industrial and old-school. Sometimes it’s hard for people to find us because the estate is a bit of a maze. You have to go past the court and look for the gate. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for years. We eat lunch together and complain about the heat when the fans aren’t enough. It’s honest work. We don’t have a flashy storefront. It’s more of a workshop feel inside. Boxes are stacked up to the ceiling sometimes. We focus on getting the orders out on time. The floor is concrete and we have big windows that let in some light, but mostly it’s just overhead tubes. It’s where we spend our ten hours a day. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is something we look forward to. There are lots of small factories here. You get used to the noise.
