Chamunda Stores

Our store is Shop No A 3 in the Nagdu Devi Prasad building in Andheri East. We are located in Padma Parket, which is right near the Bhaji Market. Because of the market, there are always people around and the smell of fresh vegetables and fruit is everywhere in the mornings. It’s a very busy little corner of the world. We sell various things here and the shelves are usually packed tight with whatever we could fit on them. There isn't much room to move around when more than two customers come in at once. We spend our day helping people find what they need and chatting with the regulars who live in the apartments nearby. The floor is concrete and we have a small counter where we keep the accounts. It gets pretty loud with the market vendors shouting their prices outside, but it makes the day go by fast. We don't have any big signs or fancy lighting. It’s just a neighborhood store where you can get what you need without a lot of trouble. We've been here for quite a while and we know most of the people who walk past our door every morning. Sometimes we just sit on the stool out front when it’s quiet and watch the traffic go by on the way to the station.
