Century Plyboards (India) Ltd

Century Plyboards is based at 11 Andheri East. This location is mostly about the material we handle. Since we deal with plyboards and wood products, the place usually has that distinct smell of sawdust and lumber. It is a big, open space because we need room to move the heavy sheets around. It isn't a glossy showroom; it is more of a working warehouse and office. We have stacks of board everywhere you look. People are always coming and going, loading up trucks or checking inventory. Andheri East is a very industrial and commercial part of the city, so it fits what we do perfectly. The noise of traffic outside is constant, and there is always a layer of dust on the windows. We have a small office area sectioned off where we do the billing and take orders. The chairs are old and the desks are heavy, much like the products we sell. It is hard work, moving these boards and making sure everything is counted correctly. We wear boots and casual clothes because you can't really stay clean in a place like this. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know the routine by heart. It is just a matter of getting the wood to the people who need it. No fancy talk, just a lot of lifting and organizing every single day. The tea guy comes by at four and that is the highlight of the afternoon.
