Central Store

Central Store is tucked away in Andheri East, right at number 1. It’s a small place, honestly. We sell a bit of everything, from notebooks to snacks and house cleaning stuff. It’s the kind of shop where you can find that one random thing you forgot to buy at the supermarket. I’ve been running it since I finished school. It’s not a glamorous job. I spend a lot of time sweeping the front and making sure the jars are lined up. We get a lot of office workers coming in during their lunch break for a soda or a pack of gum. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that I’ve stopped noticing. We don't have a website or any of that. If you need something, you just walk in and ask. Sometimes I don't have the exact brand you want, so I’ll show you something else. It’s a quiet life most days, until the school kids show up in the afternoon. Then it gets loud and a bit chaotic for an hour. We just keep going, day after day. It’s a local shop for local people. We know who likes what and who is usually in a hurry. That’s the best part of being here in Andheri. It's just a regular neighborhood store where you can get your daily bits and pieces.
