Central Provision Stores

We are over here at Shop No 1 in the Vasant building, right by the Mansa Devi Complex in Andheri East. If you know where Better Homes Furniture is, we are just a short walk from there. This place is usually pretty busy with people coming in for their daily things. It is just a regular shop where we keep the shelves stocked with whatever folks in the neighborhood need for their kitchens or houses. Sometimes the deliveries come late and we have to move boxes around while customers are trying to get through the aisles. It gets a bit cramped when the morning rush starts, especially since the shop is not that big. We have been in this spot for a while now and most people around here know us by name. It is a lot of standing around and checking labels or making sure the milk is cold. The fan in the back makes a bit of noise but you get used to it after a few hours. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just rows of jars, packets, and household stuff piled up. Usually, one of us is sitting near the entrance handling the change while the other is helping someone find a specific brand of tea or flour. It is simple work, really. We open up early when the streets are still a bit quiet and stay until the evening lights come on in the complex.
