Lallan Shoes

You can find Lallan Shoes right in the middle of Nagpada. We are specifically at 11 Mastan Tank Cross Lane, near the Bhatyara Galli cross. It is a very busy part of Mumbai, as anyone who lives here knows. There’s always someone walking by or a bike squeezing through the lane. We’ve been here for a long time. The shop is small, packed with boxes from the floor to the ceiling. We mostly sell shoes to people who live around Surti Mohalla. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s just a regular shoe shop where you can sit on a stool and try things on. We know a lot of the families around here because they’ve been buying footwear from us for ages. My father used to run things, and now we just keep it going. The lane is narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze getting here, but people manage. We don't really advertise or do anything like that. People just know we are here. We keep the inventory moving and try to have something for everyone. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up, but we just keep working. It’s a real place with real people. We aren't trying to be anything more than a local shoe store in a busy Mumbai neighborhood. We open early and stay late most nights because that's when people are out shopping for their families.
