Being over here at Unit No. 4 in the Utc Ccs Product Office, life is mostly about schedules and boxes. Carrier India Ltd. isn't a small operation, but this specific spot has its own pace. It’s an office environment through and through. You walk in and you see people on phones or looking at spreadsheets. It's not the kind of place where things are always shiny; there’s a lot of practical work happening behind the scenes. We deal with a lot of technical stuff related to cooling and how systems fit together. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks and that’s the biggest news of the morning. The desks are covered in folders and maybe a few stray pens that don't work. We spend a lot of time coordinating between different departments. Since we are tucked away in this unit, it feels a bit like its own little world. You get to know the security guards and the guys who deliver the mail. It's a steady grind. We don't have a lot of wall art or fancy carpets. The focus is just on the products and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the shift. Most of us have been working in this area long enough that the commute feels like second nature. It’s just a workplace where we try to get things done without too much fuss or extra noise. It is what it is, just a spot to work.
