C L Vishwakarma is located at Shop No 2, Indraprastha Building, within the Lokhandwala Complex in Kandivili. Being in Kandivali East means we see a lot of people every day. We’re right near the Lokhandwala Foundation School, so there is always noise from kids and parents in the morning. Our shop isn’t very big, but it’s where we do all our work. Sometimes we have so much stuff piled up that it’s hard to move around. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Most of the people in the building know us by name. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a simple shop where we get things done. We usually have the doors open to let in some air, though it gets dusty from the street. If you walk past, you’ll probably see us working on something or maybe just having a cup of tea. We don’t do much fancy advertising. Most people just find us because we’ve been here so long. It’s a busy neighborhood and we like being a part of it. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the work just takes over. We just handle what comes through the door and do our best with it. That is how we’ve always operated here. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy and we like the local feel of this area.
