Our place is over in Bhandup West, specifically at L 204 in Mayuresh Shristi on LBS Marg. It’s a busy road and there is always something going on outside. We work with fabrics and rayon mostly. If you walk into our space, you’ll see rolls of cloth everywhere and people busy with measuring tapes. It’s not a quiet office. There is the constant sound of movement and the rustle of material. We’ve been in this Mumbai neighborhood for quite a bit. The building is one of those big complexes where you can easily get lost if you don't know which floor you’re going to. We spend a lot of our time checking the quality of the bits that come in. Some days the colors are all over the place and we have to sort them out. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and moving heavy rolls from one side of the room to the other. We don't have fancy furniture; just big cutting tables and some old chairs for when we take a break. The LBS Marg traffic is something we just have to live with. It gets really loud during rush hour. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique or anything. We just provide the materials that people need for their clothes. It’s a practical business and we keep it straightforward. Most of the staff has been here for years and we all just know what needs to be done.
