Bombay Manufacturing Corporation

The Bombay Manufacturing Corporation is located right at 82-90 A. I. P. Banian Street. It’s a very specific part of the city, right opposite the Khatri Masjid and near the Banian Station. You can hear the trains and the calls from the masjid throughout the day. It’s an old area with a lot of history and very narrow streets. Moving materials in and out can be a bit of a headache because of the crowds. The building itself has seen better days, but it works for what we do. We have been at this A. I. P. Banian Street address for a long time. There is always dust from the manufacturing and the sound of machines running. It’s a loud place to work. We don't have a big reception or anything like that. You just walk in and see people busy with their tasks. The station being so close means there are always people walking past the front door. We keep our heads down and get the work done. The workspace is filled with tools and raw materials. Sometimes we have to move things around just to find a place to sit for a break. It's a very honest kind of job. No one wears suits here. We just wear our regular clothes and get our hands dirty. It’s just how manufacturing goes in this part of Mumbai.
