Bombay Dyeing & Mfg.Co.Ltd.

Our main office is located on the 10th floor of the World Trade Centre, specifically in Centre-1. Bombay Dyeing & Mfg.Co.Ltd. has been around for a very long time, and being here in this building is just where we handle the administrative side of things. It’s a high-rise, so the view is nice, but we spend most of our time looking at spreadsheets and managing the production schedules for the mills. It’s a bit formal in the building, but in our actual office, we just try to get through the daily pile of work. We deal with everything from textile designs to distribution logistics from this floor. Sometimes the elevators in the World Trade Centre take forever during the lunch rush, which is a bit of a nuisance when you are in a hurry. We have a lot of history as a company, but day-to-day it’s just about making sure the fabric orders are moving and the supply chain is working like it should. We aren't a retail shop, so we don't have rolls of cloth laying around the office; it's mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets. People think working in such a big building is glamorous, but it’s really just a lot of meetings and coordination between the different departments. We keep things running from this 10th-floor spot and try our best to stay on top of the textile market every day.
