Bitbyte Computers is a small shop over at 4 Ravji Sozpal on S K Bhole Marg. We're in Dadar West, which is always crowded and noisy. The shop is tucked away a bit. Inside, it's full of monitors, cables, and old keyboards. We spend most of our time looking at screens or opening up computer cases to see what’s wrong. It’s a lot of tiny screws and dusty fans. People bring in their laptops when they stop working or when they've spilled something on the keys. We don't promise miracles, we just try to fix things. Sometimes it takes a day, sometimes a week if we have to wait for a part to arrive from someone else. It's not a shiny corporate office. It’s more like a workshop where things are actually getting done. There are wires hanging everywhere and stacks of boxes in the corner. We know the local crowd in Dadar. They trust us because we’ve been here in the same spot for years. We handle all sorts of tech problems, even the ones that seem small. We don't use big words to confuse people. We just tell them what’s broken and how much it’ll cost to get it running again. It’s a busy life in Mumbai, and we’re just a small part of it. The tea guy comes by twice a day and we usually take a five-minute break then. The fan in the ceiling squeaks a lot.
