Bico Fabrics

Bico Fabrics is located at Ai-95 on 2nd Street, right on the 8th Main Road in Shanti Colony. We are directly opposite Anna Adarsh College, so there are always students walking past and plenty of energy in the air. Shanti Colony is a nice area with lots of trees and local shops, and we feel lucky to be tucked away in this part of town. Our space is filled with rolls of fabric and various textiles piled up high. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We spend our days measuring out cloth, cutting pieces for customers, and talking about different materials. The light comes in through the front windows and hits the colors of the fabric, which is probably the best part of the shop. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique or anything like that. We just provide fabrics to people who need them for clothes, curtains, or whatever else they are making. It’s a lot of dusty work, as fabric lint gets everywhere, especially on our clothes. We have a small desk where we do all the billing and keep our ledgers. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when multiple people come in at once, but we manage. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and being near the college keeps the neighborhood feeling young and busy. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily trade.
