Our office is located at 12-B in the Geeta Bhavan building on 93 Bhulabhai Desai Road. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets around here during the day. There are always cars honking and people rushing to get to their offices. Inside Bharat Kernels Pvt. Ltd., it is a bit quieter, but not by much. We spend most of our time dealing with suppliers and checking on the stock levels in the warehouse. Dealing with kernels and agricultural stuff means we have to keep a close eye on the seasons and the market prices. It changes all the time, which can be stressful. Sometimes the shipments are late and we have to spend the whole afternoon explaining that to everyone who is waiting. It is a lot of phone calls and sitting at desks. The office itself is older, with high ceilings and these heavy wooden desks that have been here for years. We haven't really felt the need to change things around or get new furniture. It works for us. Usually, lunch is a quick affair, maybe someone brings in something from home to share. We talk about the weather or how bad the traffic was on the way in. It is hard to find parking on Bhulabhai Desai Road, so most of us just take the bus. It is the reality of working in this part of the city. (246 words)
