Beml Ltd.

Our office is on the 3rd Floor of the Richardson & Cruddas Corporate Office Building. It’s an old place on Sir J J Road, very close to J J Hospital in Byculla. Being in such a busy part of Mumbai means there’s always something happening outside. You can hear the traffic and the sirens all day long. Beml Ltd. has been here for a long time. The building has high ceilings and that old-school feel. It’s not a modern glass tower, but it has character. We spend our days at our desks, handling the usual corporate tasks. There's a lot of back and forth between departments. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. The breakroom has a kettle and some biscuits, and that’s about it. We aren't here to make big promotional speeches. We just manage the operations and keep things moving. Byculla is a hectic area, but once you get up to the third floor, it’s a bit more manageable. We have stacks of files and binders that go back years. The elevators can be a bit temperamental, so we’ve learned to be patient. It’s a steady kind of work. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just do our part in this big building and head home when the clock hits five. It is just a regular job in a historical part of the city.
