Barkat Exports Pvt. Ltd. is located in the Zarima Cooperative Housing Society on S.V. Road. If you know Bandra West, you know how busy S.V. Road gets at almost any hour. Our office is at number 27, and it’s a bit of a mix between a home and a workplace since it's in a residential society. We have been here for years, and the space is pretty much filled to the ceiling with samples and folders. We deal with exports, which means we are constantly on the phone with people in different time zones. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times everyone is shouting at once. The building is older, and we know all the other residents by name. It’s not like those shiny new offices in BKC; it’s more comfortable and a bit worn down in the corners. We make a lot of tea and spend our afternoons sorting through shipping manifests. Being in Bandra is great for food and getting around, but the noise from the traffic is constant. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us making sure our clients get their orders on time. We’ve seen many businesses come and go on S.V. Road, but we’ve managed to stay put at Zarima. It’s just a regular office where we do our best to stay organized amidst all the daily chaos of the export business.
