Evershine Apparels

Evershine Apparels is in Room No. 28/3, Nargis Dutt Nagar. This is over on K. C. Marg near the Bandra Reclamation area. Bandra West is a fancy name but our corner is more about the daily work. We are in a small room where we handle clothes and fabrics. It is a tight space, but we make it work. Outside, you can see the bridge and the sea if you walk a little bit. We’ve been here since before the area got so crowded. The room is filled with sewing machines and scraps of cloth on the floor. It’s a bit messy sometimes but that’s how it goes when you’re making things. We don't have a big sign outside. Most people who come here are regulars who have known us for years. We do a lot of cutting and tailoring. The light isn't always great in the afternoons, so we have some extra lamps around. We aren't trying to be some big fashion house. We just make clothes. Bandra has changed a lot, with new cafes and shops popping up everywhere, but our little spot in Nargis Dutt Nagar stays pretty much the same. It's loud because of the traffic from the reclamation road, but you get used to the sound of cars after a while. We just drink our tea and get back to the machines. It’s just how things are done here in our small room.
