Bakers Choice

We’ve been up here on the second floor of Kaliandas Udyog Bhavan for quite a while now. Prabhadevi is a busy spot, and our unit at number 364 is right in the thick of it. Most mornings start early, usually before the sun is even fully up, just getting things ready for the day's batches. It gets pretty loud in the building with all the other businesses around, but we just stick to our corner and do the work. If you know the area, you know how tight the parking can get around here, so we usually see people coming in on foot. We handle a lot of orders throughout the week, mostly just trying to keep up with the demand and making sure everything is sorted properly. It isn’t a fancy setup by any means. It’s a workspace where we spend most of our daylight hours. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like, but that’s just part of being in an older industrial building. We know the neighbors pretty well, the guys downstairs and the ones across the hall. It’s a community of people just getting through their shifts. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that because there's always something else to do. If you walk past our door, you'll probably hear the machines humming or see one of us moving crates around. It's just what we do every day.
