Azmi Computers

Azmi Computers is a small shop, number 8 in Saba Chawl. We are located in LBS Nagar, which is a very busy part of Sakinaka. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside. We have a metal shutter that we roll up every morning. Inside, it’s mostly just a workbench and some shelves for spare parts. It’s a tight fit if more than two people are working at the same time. We have tools scattered around and a few old laptops that we use for parts. Sakinaka is always loud. The traffic on the main road never seems to stop. We get a lot of dust in the shop because we are so close to the street. I usually spend the day sitting on a plastic stool fixing whatever people bring in. It’s not a fancy corporate setup with meetings and reports. It’s just me and a couple of others handling repairs. We know most of the people who live in Saba Chawl and they stop by to say hello. Sometimes we sit outside on the step when it’s not too hot. The local tea seller knows exactly how we like our drinks. We don't have a big sign or any marketing. People just know we are here at shop no. 8. It’s a simple, hardworking life in a very crowded neighborhood and we are fine with that. It is what it is, and we stay busy enough.
