Assam Tea Mart

Assam Tea Mart is over at Shop No. 8 in the Godawari Building. We are right on M P Road in Andheri West. If you’ve been to Mumbai, you know how loud and busy Andheri is. Our shop is just one small part of that madness. We spend our days surrounded by tea from Assam. The space is tight, so we have to stack the boxes all the way to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We don’t have much room for a fancy sitting area. Usually, we are just standing behind the counter or moving crates around. The traffic on M P Road is constant, and the horns never really stop. You get used to it after a while. We aren't a big chain or anything. It’s just a local mart where we try to keep things simple. We don't spend money on big advertisements. The sign above the door is a bit faded, but people know we are here. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just use flashlights until it comes back. It’s part of the charm of the Godawari Building. We just keep doing our thing, selling tea to whoever walks in from the street. It’s a fast-paced life in Mumbai, but inside our shop, we just focus on the tea. We like the hustle even if it is a bit much.
