Art On

You can find Art On located in Flat No 24 on the fifth floor of the Prabhat building in Cumballa Hill, near Versova. It’s a very distinct area, especially because we are right next to the U.S. Embassy. Being on the fifth floor means we’re a bit removed from the street noise, though you can still hear the city moving if you open the window. The flat is where we handle all of our projects. It’s not really set up like a traditional business office with cubicles and a break room. It feels more like a lived-in studio where art and work happen at the same time. There are always stacks of paper and various supplies taking up space on the tables. We don't have a big sign out on the main road, so most people who visit us already know exactly where they’re going. The building itself is well-maintained, and having the embassy nearby means the whole street is quite secure and orderly. We’ve been here for a good while, and we’ve grown accustomed to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s a creative space more than anything else. We don’t really follow a corporate handbook or have a formal hierarchy. If something needs to be done, one of us just grabs it and does it. It’s an honest way of working, and while it might look a little disorganized to an outsider, we know exactly where everything is. We just focus on the projects at hand and let things happen.
