Armaan Collection

If you go down to India Colony 8 in Bhandup West, you’ll find our shop, Armaan Collection. We mostly deal with clothes. It’s not a huge boutique with mannequins everywhere, just a simple shop where we hang things up and hope people like the colors. We’ve been here for a few years now. The area is always noisy and full of life. We get a lot of ladies coming in to look at fabrics or ready-made pieces for their families. We try to keep the prices fair because we know everyone in the colony works hard for their money. Sometimes the lighting inside isn't great, but we show the clothes out in the sunlight if someone wants to see the real shade of the fabric. It’s just me and a helper most days of the week. We don't do much marketing or any of that internet stuff. We just put out a board on the sidewalk and wait for people to come in. The racks get a bit messy during the festival seasons because everyone is in a big hurry. We spend a lot of our time folding and refolding things to keep the place looking okay. It’s honest work. We like seeing someone walk out happy with a new shirt or a suit they found here. Bhandup is a good place for a shop like this because people appreciate simple, useful stuff. We aren't trying to be a big brand or anything like that. We just want to keep the shop running and provide what the local people are looking for. It’s a small part of India Colony 8, but it’s ours.
