Aradhana Apparels

Aradhana Apparels is based out of Golwala Apartments on Nehru Road. It’s a residential-style building, which makes the whole place feel a bit more relaxed than a standard factory. Being in Santacruz East means we’re right in the middle of everything. You can hear the planes overhead and the traffic from the station area constantly. Our unit is at number 9, and it’s basically where everything happens from start to finish. We do a lot of our own packing and checking right here on the tables. It’s not a huge team, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We know each other's families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. Usually, the day starts with clearing off the workspace from whatever we left the night before. We have stacks of boxes waiting to go out and rolls of cloth that need to be dealt with. It gets a bit busy around midday, but we usually take a break together for lunch. We don't bother with fancy signs or anything like that. People who need us know where we are. It’s a practical way to run a small business. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack things in the corner, but we always find what we need eventually. It's just how we operate. We don't need fancy things to get the clothes made and sent out.
